Jefferson High School District #1 currently has five positions open for the 2021-2022 school year.
 
 
Instructional Coach:
Jefferson High School District #1 is looking for an Instructional Coach to work with our teaching staff to meet the objectives of the Montana Comprehensive Literacy State Development Project (MCLSDP). The position is to improve literacy skills using evidence-based practices and strategies for students grades 9-12.
 
 The Instructional Coach will provide teachers support to help build their understanding of instructional practices as related to Montana standards, student engagement, and Data-Driven Instruction. The instructional coach position is a teacher who encourages continuous improved and facilitates learning strategies to ensure student success. The position is responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction in classrooms through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, and providing feedback to teachers.
 
The Instructional Coach will support the instructional development of all teachers and build strong relationships with teachers and administrators. The position will provide direction and coordination on delivery of curriculum and implemented support systems.

Literacy Intervention Specialist/Data Analysis/Online Learning Coordinator:
Duties include coordination with the school literacy coach to plan and administer literacy interventions to struggling students. The position will analyze test data for MAPS and ACT, Early Warning System, and participate in the School Leadership Team (SLT). The position will also be the online learning coordinator for JHS students on Montana Digital Academy and ACELUS credit recovery. A teacher certificate is preferred.

Job Description: The Jefferson High School District #1 is looking for the following combination or ability to attain certification for the 2021-22 school year. Jefferson High School is seeking a dynamic and innovative High School Physical Education/Health Enhancement Instructor. This position is 6/7 FTE.
 
Level of experience is negotiable under the current CBA. One full coverage insurance package is available for the employee.
 
District will consider a provisional endorsement from a quality applicant. The district may help cover the cost of classes required to obtain proper certification. Additional endorsements a plus but not required for the position.

      - Innovation - integration of differentiated instruction strategies to ensure student success at all levels
      - Diversity - Incorporate the district strategic plan and effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement

      - Developing opportunities for cross-curricular projects between Physical Education/Health Enhancement and other departments
      - Carving out additional Phycial Education/Health Enhancement related opportunities in the schedule to increase scheduling availability for students

Current strategic planning has affirmed the board of trustee's commitment to provide the supports needed to place JHS at the forefront of secondary education in Montana and in the top 20% of high schools by any academic measure. Initiatives underway at the school include instructional support to address the needs of the current standards and research-based instructional strategies. The school board has engaged in strategic planning over the past years and has increased budget in staffing in order to provide strong instructional support, increased professional development, and committed funds toward 1-to-1 computing. Jefferson High School is seeking a dynamic and innovative High School Librarian. The Library position is currently projected to be full-time with anticipated enrollment growth.
