'Profe Schultz' - as the whole school calls her - was Spanish and English as a Second Language at Green Mountain Union High School/Middle School in Chester Vermont prior to joining the faculty of JHS in October 2019. Doubly-endorsed in K-12 Spanish and now 7-12 ELA, she teaches all the Spanish courses and one or two English classes as assigned.
Wendy and her husband Josey began their married life in Canyon Creek MT in 1992; their daughter and son were born at St. Peter's Hospital in 1998 and 2004 respectively. They then moved to live and work in Costa Rica for 7 years, where they farmed cacao, learned to make artisanal dark chocolate, Josey continued timber framing from their finca, and Wendy was hired by the Ministry of Education to be a regional trainer of public school English teachers in methodology and technique of second language teaching. This led to being recommended to the faculty of the English department of the Universidad de Costa Rica, where she taught Linguistics to English majors and Conversational English for Ecotourism majors.
Looking forward to leading the first of biannual trips to my beloved Costa Rica days after the last day of school 2023: May 29-June 6th. See the school website for more details. You do not have to be a spanish student to go on the trip, at least not this year!!! Open enrollment and all $$$ through EF Tours!
